A family run business for over 30 years

Generated Power Services GPS was founded in 1984 by Brian Smith and his wife Carole, and has been a family run diesel power generator business ever since.

Now run by Brian’s son Russell and his wife Abi, the business continues to offer the same personal touch to regional generator and power services.

With over 50 years of engineering and generator experience behind him, Brian’s knowledge was passed down through the business, with Russell and Abi updating and modernising practises over their past 15 years leading its direction. 

The company has grown considerably since 1984, where it started with one generator set and an office in a room in their home. Today Generated Power Services has its own fleet of hire generators, modern service vehicles, offices and workshop facilities.

ISO9001:2000 UKAS Quality Management certified, Generated Power Services was one of the first companies in 1997 to receive a grant to achieve ISO9001:2000 and has successfully maintained this standard for over 20 years, continually striving to improve.

Today, you can find the team online, at the office, or on site, as they run the business with fully integrated tech support.
